Why Do I Need a Support Plan?
Your website runs off of software. Software needs updating periodically to make sure it stays up to date. Why does it need to stay up to date? Software is never 100%. It constantly needs updating because of security fixes, optimization to how well it runs, new features which help the functionality of your site and many more reasons.
Think of it this way. Take your smart phone. Every so often, you get software updates for your phone and the apps that run on it. This is EXACTLY the same case for your website.
Why Can’t I Just Update My Own Website?
You CAN! There is nothing holding you back from clicking away on that update button. But before you do, do you know WHY the plugin is being updated? Do you know if that update is going to play nice with the other plugins on your site? If you make this update on your site, will it break? Are you following each and every single plugin changelog to make sure that this update is even necessary for your website at this time? I DO! I am following everything to make sure it will work on your site. I make sure the update is necessary and make sure it will work on your website. I test all major updates before pushing it live to your main website.
Ok So How Much Will Support Cost?
Pricing is below for my plans. If you have a shop on your site, you will need the “Maintain It” package at a MINIMUM. Why? Because e-commerce websites need a lot more care when it comes to supporting, updating and making sure everything works.
If you have a brochure site with just company information, then the lower cost plans are right for you!
